TCU Men's Tennis Day One at Rice Invite

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU men's tennis team fared well on the first day of the Rice Invitational Indoor in Houston.
The Frogs participated in the singles and doubles categories.
Sophomore Fabrizio Sestini defeated highly ranked Benjamin Becker (No. 23) of Baylor in the first round of play 7-6; 6-3. Daniel Scholten, and freshman Rafael Abreu also recorded wins against Marko Bundalo (Colorado) and Scott Green (Ohio State) respectively.
In the doubles category, the team of Alex Menichini and Fabrizio Sestini defeated Antonio Ruiz and Jose Zarhi of Texas 8-6.
Play did not end until well after midnight Friday, and the tournament will continue throughout the weekend.
