
Trofholz Named First-Team All-Region

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU right fielder Terry Trofholz (Plano, Texas/Plano Senior/Creighton), who has already collected first-team all-Conference USA and a pair of second-team all-America honors this postseason, has been named a first-team all-South Central Region performer by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), it was announced Thursday morning.
The first-team accolades make Trofholz a candidate for the ABCA/Rawlings all-America teams, which will be announced Thursday night during the 2002 NCAA Home Run Challenge. The event will be broadcast on ESPN2 beginning at 8 p.m. (CDT).
The South Central Region is comprised of 34 schools from Texas, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky and Louisiana. The schools' head coaches selected the all-region squads.
