FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU's rifle team finished its season at last month's NCAA Sectionals with a pair of top-30 national rankings. The Horned Frogs concluded the campaign ranked 28th nationally in the smallbore and 30th in the country in air rifle competition.
Junior Jessica Green (Lufkin, Texas/Homeschool/Angelina College) led the Frogs, placing in the top 150 in the nation individually in both events. Her 1,100 smallbore tally and 373 in the air rifle were both tops on the squad and good for 124th and 138th in the nation, respectively.
Senior Jennifer Heim (Altoona, Iowa/Grand Island) also notched a top-150 individual performance, placing 134th nationally with a 371 air rifle score. Fellow senior Stacy Phillips (Georgetown, Texas/Georgetown) just missed top-150 billing in the air rifle, placing 151st with 368 points.
