Home Sweet Home: Under Billy Tubbs, Daniel-Meyer Coliseum has developed into one of the more difficult places for opponents to play. Since arriving in Fort Worth, Tubbs' coached teams have posted an impressive 103-24 mark at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum, plus they are 3-0 in games played at the Fort Worth Convention Center. In home conference games, the Frogs are 40-17 under Tubbs. Last season, the Frogs recorded a 15-1 win-loss mark at Daniel-Meyer, including a 7-1 record in conference games.

The first-ever meeting between TCU and UAB came in the 1985 season, when UAB defeated TCU, 69-62, in a game played in Las Vegas. As a head coach, Billy Tubbs has a 2-1 record against UAB, having posted wins while at TCU and Oklahoma (1983 NCAA Midwest Regional).
