
Hobbs Named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week

TCU tailback Lonta Hobbs has been selected as the ConferenceUSA Offensive Player of the Week for the week of November 30, the conference office announced Monday.
The true freshman from Clarksville, Texas rushed for a career high 287 yards on a career-high 33 carries (8.7 yards per carry) in TCU's 27-20 win over Memphis. He scored three times on touchdown runs of 1 yard, 65 yards and 1 yard with just 38 seconds remaining in the game. He also had a 52-yard carry in the game.
Hobbs established both TCU freshman single game and season rushing records. His 12 rushing touchdowns and 13 touchdowns overall are both TCU freshman records. His 287 yards rushing was the seventh highest single game total in TCU history. He also increased his rushing yardage for the seventh consecutive game and established a TCU freshman record with five 100-yard games.
Hobbs was honored by the conference for the second time this season. He also received the award on November 4.
