The 44th annual AXA Liberty Bowl, featuring the TCU Horned Frogs and the Colorado State Rams, is the seventh best bowl game to watch, according to The Sporting News.
The December 31 matchup between the champions of Conference USA and the champions of the Mountain West Conference will be "old-school, punch-you-in-the-nose offensive football," according to the national magazine. "The defenses also will be scrappy. It'll be worth your while to watch a pair of standout linebackers in TCU's LaMarcus McDonald and Colorado State's Eric Pauly," the magazine goes on to say.
The Sporting News lists the Fiesta Bowl, which pits Miami and Ohio State battling for the national championship as the top game to watch, followed in order by the Orange Bowl (USC vs. Iowa), the Rose Bowl (Washington State vs. Oklahoma), the Outback Bowl (Michigan vs. Florida), the Capital One Bowl (Penn State vs. Auburn) and the Peach Bowl (Maryland vs. Tennessee) ahead of the Liberty Bowl. The Liberty Bowl ranks ahead of the Cotton, Sugar, Gator and Tangerine Bowls, among others, according to The Sporting News.
Tickets to the game are still available by calling the TCU ticket office at 817-257-FROG. The game will be nationally televised by ESPN, beginning at 2:30 p.m. CT on December 31.
