Rifle Ends Season With Sectionals

FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU Purple placed second in both air rifle and smallbore competition at NCAA Sectionals completed Saturday. TCU White placed third in air rifle and sixth in smallbore.
Purple had 1,401 points in air rifle and 4,203 points in smallbore, while White had 1,321 points in air rifle and 3,480 points in smallbore.
In her final competition as a Horned Frog, senior Michelle Parker placed fourth in smallbore with 1,092 points and sixth in air rifle with 355 points. Also in her last match, senior Dena Putnam placed fifth in air rifle with 360, and junior Stacy Phillips placed seventh in smallbore with 1,053 points.
Texas A&M Maroon placed first in both air rifle and smallbore with 1,425 points in air rifle and 4,387 points in smallbore.
