TCU Announces 2001-02 Rifle Schedule

FORT WORTH, Texas (July 23, 2001) -- TCU head rifle coach Roger Ivy announced Monday that the program has finalized its 2001-02 schedule. The demanding season kicks off on Sept. 8 with a match at the University of San Francisco.
The squad will return from its season-opening trip to host the annual Horned Frog Invitational. The meet, the team's only home date of the campaign, will take place Oct. 5-7 and 12-14. Texas A&M, Centenary and Birmingham-Southern, among others, will visit Fort Worth for the top-notch event.
Other highlights of the slate include trips to West Point, N.Y. to take on Army and Colorado Springs, Colo. to face Air Force.
"As always, the schedule is pretty tough," Coach Ivy says. "However, we should be able to win quite of few of the challenging matches and have a successful season."
The season concludes with sectionals, Feb. 15-16, hosted by Texas A&M in Rosenburg, Texas.
