Junior quarterback Sean Stilley was selected as the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, following his standout performance in TCU's 38-20 win over Army on Saturday.
The 6-4, 234-pounder from Lake Highlands High School completed 21-of-29 passes for 273 yards without an interception in his first career start. He accounted for four touchdowns - three through the air (8, 14 and 14 yards) and one rushing (4 yards). They were the first touchdowns, either rushing or passing, in his career. He carried 12 times for a net 34 yards, with a long run of 47 yards. The 273 yards passing was the most by a TCU quarterback since since Max Knake riddled the Kansas defense for 391 yards on Sept. 14, 1995.
Stilley becomes the fifth TCU football player this season to earn the weekly conference honors for his outstanding play on the field. Previous Horned Frog winners include plackicker Nick Browne, safety Charlie Owens (twice) and tailback Corey Connally.
