Fort Worth (August 11) -- TCU head coach Dennis Franchione welcomed back 41 lettermen, including 18 starters, Friday afternoon (8/11). While the freshmen will practice twice on Saturday, the veterans will not hit the field until Tuesday, August 15 for the first of twice-daily practices.

Franchione also announced that wide receiver Ahmed Kabba has left the team for personal reasons. TCU, ranked 20th by the Associated Press and 23rd by the coaches in the ESPN/USA Today top-25 poll, opens the 2000 season on September 9 against Nevada in a game that will be televised locally by ESPN Regional.
