FORT WORTH (Apr. 7) Anthony Acevedo doubled home Tom Creighton in the top of the ninth, leading Fresno State to a come from behind, 9-7 win over TCU. Fresno State, ranked 17th by Collegiate Baseball, improves to 26-9 overall, 9-4 in Western Athletic Conference play. The Frogs drop to 13-24 overall, 4-8 in the WAC.
TCU, holding a slim 7-6 lead, allowed three runs in the ninth on four hits. Creighton singled to start the inning. After Creighton advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt, Acevedo doubled to right center, igniting the Fresno State rally. Before the inning was over, the Bulldogs had taken a 9-7 lead.
TCU scored a pair of runs in the first on two hits, including a RBI-triple by Mark Hamilton. Brad Rogers sacrifice fly to left drove home Hamilton.
The Frogs committed six errors in the game, including four in the third inning.
