Texas Outscores TCU Baseball, 17-15

AUSTIN, Texas (March 7, AP) - Texas overcame two five-run innings by TCU to win 17-15 Tuesday afternoon.
Texas had 17 hits and every starter in the lineup scored at least one run.
Jeff Ontiveros had a career-best six RBIs and scored his sixth home run of the season. Kevin Frizzell (1-0) got his first collegiate win, throwing a career-high three innings of scoreless relief.
The Horned Frogs took a 5-0 lead in the first inning when starting pitcher Shaun Wooley hit a three-run homer.
Mark Hamilton hit a grand slam in TCU's five-run fourth inning, putting the Frogs ahead 10-7.
Frizzell entered the game in the sixth with the Longhorns trailing 12-7 and held the Horned Frogs to just three hits over three innings.
Texas took the lead for good with Ontiveros' RBI double in the seventh.
David Trombella (1-2) took the loss for TCU, giving up four runs in one inning.
