Frogs Remain Third in Regional Cross Country Poll

The Arkansas women collected 12 of the 13 first-place votes and 129 points in the poll this week. Texas A&M picked up the remaining first-place vote and remained in second place with 116 points, while TCU is close behind with 105 points. Arkansas is currently ranked 12th in the country, while A&M is the 21st-rated team. The Horned Frogs also have received votes for the Top 25. The TCU men received three votes and rank 12th in the poll this week.
Both the TCU men's and women's teams enjoy an off week this week as they prepare for the WAC Championships, which will be held in Tulsa, Okla. on October 28.
The South Central Regional Cross Country Poll is compiled each Wednesday throughout the cross country season. The South Central Region comprises all NCAA Division I Schools in Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas (excluding UTEP and Texas Tech). Every cross country coach in the region has a right to vote each week.
The NCAA South Central Regional Meet will be held on November 11 at Eagle Point Golf Course in Denton, Texas. The top two teams and the top four individuals not on a qualifying team will advance to the NCAA Cross Country Championships to be held in Ames, Iowa on Monday, Nov. 20.
