Broke his own school record and notched an NCAA B cut in the 100 free at the Big 12 Championships with a time of 43.44 (Feb. 24-28)... Cumby comes to TCU out of St. Johns Legends club in Newfoundland, Canada, as the number one ranked recruit out of Newfoundland. The 2016-2017 Newfoundland Male Swimmer of the Year won five gold medals and set four NL records at the 2017 NL Provincial Championships and brings in marks of 21.01s in the 50 free, 45.47s in the 100 free, 28.17s in the 50 back, and 51.51 in the 100 back.

"Noah is a game changer," Busch said. "He's by far the most accomplished and seasoned athlete we will bring in. As a freshman, we're expecting him to be a leader and be one of the alpha males in the sprint-freestyle. I think he's going to really elevate and advance the program."
