
TCU Earns Gold and Silver on Day Two of Big 12 Championships

FEDERAL WAY – The TCU swimming and diving team had a strong showing on day two of the Big 12 Championships, with seniors Anna Kwong and David Ekdahl leading the way by bringing home two medals.
Kwong earned a silver medal in the women's 1-meter dive, while Ekdahl delivered a dominant performance to claim gold in the men's 3-meter dive.
THE RUNDOWN
The evening began on the diving boards, where Kwong earned silver in the 1-meter delivering six impressive dives to mark a score of 320.95.
In the pool, Jordan Edwards had a standout performance in the 500 free, clocking a personal-best of 4:48.71, now ranking as the third-fastest time in program history.
Colby Hurt followed recording a personal-best of 4:51.37 in the 500 free, securing her spot as the eighth-fastest swimmer in the TCU record books.
The night wrapped up with a memorable performance from David Ekdahl, who executed six outstanding dives to win gold in the men's 3-meter, finishing with a score of 392.10.
TCU returns to action for day three of the Big 12 Championships on Thursday, Feb. 27, with prelims beginning at 12 p.m. CT.
