Team Notes
•TCU is 2-0 for the first time since 2022, when it reached the College Football Playoff National Championship.
•TCU played its only non-Power 4 Conference opponent of the season.
•Under first-year Defensive Coordinator Andy Avalos, the Horned Frogs recorded their first shutout since a 43-0 win over Kansas in 2017.
•The 127 yards of total offense by LIU were the fewest allowed by TCU since holding Grambling State to 80 yards in the 2012 season opener, the first game in the rebuilt Amon G. Carter Stadium.
•TCU's student attendance of 6,153 was the fourth largest in school history and nearly 50 percent of total enrollment.
•The Horned Frogs are 11-3 in home games under Head Coach Sonny Dykes.
•Dykes is 20-9 at TCU. Only Francis A. Schmidt (24, 1929-30) and Dutch Meyer (25, 1934-35) have reached 20 wins in less games at TCU than Dykes (29).
•TCU has won 21 of its last 23 home openers.
•TCU scored for the 396th consecutive game, the second-longest streak in NCAA history. No. 1 is Florida at 450 games (1988-present). The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991, at Texas (32-0).

Individual Notes
Offense
•Josh Hoover's 14 consecutive completions in the first half tied a TCU single-game record set by Jeff Ballard against San Diego State in 2006.
•Hoover's 14 straight completions are also tied for second overall, behind only the 16 by Casey Pachall over the 2011-12 seasons.
•Hoover finished 20-of-25 for 267 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
•Cam Cook's three rushing touchdowns were the most by a Horned Frog since Trey Sanders ran for three in the 2023 opener against Colorado.
•Cook's touchdowns were from 1, 12 and 5 yards, giving him a team-best four rushing scores on the season.
•JoJo Earle had a 5-yard touchdown catch, one play after a 15-yard reception from Savion Williams. Earle had three catches for 24 yards.
•Savion Williams, a former high school quarterback, had the completion on his first collegiate pass.
*Williams led TCU in receiving for the second straight game with five catches for 69 yards.
•JP Richardson had two receptions for 25 yards to give him at least one catch in 29 consecutive games. The streak entered the game tied for seventh longest in the nation.
•Chase Curtis had an 18-yard touchdown catch for his second career receiving score.
•Blake Nowell had a career-long 46-yard reception.
•Dominique Johnson ran for a 2-yard score to give him his first touchdown as a Horned Frog. He had eight rushing scores at Arkansas.
•Eric McAlister had his first receptions as a Horned Frog, totaling two for 54 yards.
Defense
•At free safety, Richard Toney Jr. made his first TCU start and totaled a team-best tying seven tackles to go with a pass breakup.
•Johnny Hodges also had seven stops.
•Namdi Obiazor had 1.5 tackles for loss, as part of five stops, to go with his first career interception. Obiazor has a team-best 4.0 TFLs in just two games.
•NaNa Osafo-Mensah recorded his first sack as a Horned Frog. He had 5.0 at Notre Dame.
•Zachary Chapman posted his first collegiate sack.
•Redshirt freshman linebacker Max Carroll had a career-best six tackles.
Special Teams
•True freshman Kyle Lemmermann had a career-long 48-yard field goal.
•Jack Bech had an 18-yard effort on his first career punt return.
