Tournament runs from Sept. 8-10 at Keene Trace Golf Club in Kentucky
FORT WORTH – TCU is paying a visit to Kentucky for the first time in decades for its second of five fall tournaments.
The Horned Frogs are hopping over to the Bluegrass State to compete in the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational, beginning Sunday at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky.
The 11-team, 66-player event takes place over three days with Kentucky playing host.
A half-dozen Frogs are traveling to the Ohio Valley. TCU's five-player lineup is Meagan Winans, Sofia Barroso Sá, Gracie McGovern, Kirstin Angosta and Camille Min-Gaultier. Sofie Dimitrova will play as an individual.
TCU is less than a week removed from a sixth-place finish at the Carmel Cup on the grounds of Pebble Beach Golf Links in its season-opening tournament. The Horned Frogs finished 10-over (370) in the final round – the third-lowest of any team in the field.
The Course – Champion Trace at Keene Trace Golf Club – Par 72 / 6,175 yards
The Champion Trace course at Keene Trace Golf Club was designed by world renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills and built in 1987 by Tom Heilbron. Since its inception, Champion Trace has been rated as one of the best courses in the state of Kentucky. The course has hosted the ISCO Championship, formerly the Barbasol Championship, annually since 2018. Champion Trace was also the site of the 2019 NCAA Division III Golf Championship as well as multiple men's NCAA Regionals and men's and women's SEC Championships.

Teams will engage in 18 holes of stroke play each day, beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT. The Bettie Lou Evans Invitational utilizes a five-count-four scoring format.
TCU starts on hole one on Sunday and switches to the 10th tee box on Monday. The Horned Frogs are paired with Indiana and Kentucky for the first two rounds. The final round commences with a shotgun start with groupings determined by team scores.

Meagan Winans
Winans was the standout Frog along the Monterey peninsula. She finished ninth outright at three-over (219), earning the first top-10 finish of her collegiate career. From Plano, Texas, Winans posted a three-under 69 over the first 18 holes. She bagged a team-best nine birdies.
Barroso Sá and Angosta played even par on the final day.
TCU lowered its team score over all three rounds in the six-player lineup affair. The Horned Frogs shot a collective 380 on day one, shaved two strokes off their score in the second round before posting its tournament low round (370) to conclude the event.

TCU continues its fall season at the Schooner Fall Classic on Sept. 21-23 at Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla. The Horned Frogs have participated in the event annually for six straight seasons. TCU notched consecutive second place finishes in the 15-team tournament in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
Two-time All-American Caitlin Macnab won the Schooner in 2022, setting an individual program record for low-54 hole total (200, -10). TCU also set its all-time team records for low round (268, -12) and low-54 hole total (831, -9) that same weekend.

- Will make her 12th consecutive start for TCU at Keene Trace.
- The Bettie Lou Evans Invitational marks the 27th event she has competed in collegiately.
- Notched the first collegiate top-10 finish of her career at the Carmel Cup, placing ninth outright (+3, 219).
- Collected five birdies in round one of the Carmel Cup on her way to a three-under 69; was tied for fifth following the first 18 holes.
- Winans was the second-highest finisher of 18 Big 12 competitors at the Carmel Cup.
- She was of three players to tee it up in every tournament for the Horned Frogs in 2023-24.

- Barroso Sá won the Barbara Nicklaus Cup individual title as a freshman in 2022-23. She is the only Horned Frog freshman to win a tournament in the last six seasons dating back to 2018.
- The Portugal native will make her 25th straight start in Kentucky. She has teed it up in every tournament in her TCU tenure.
