
Big 12 Announces Volleyball Conference Matchups for 2024 Season

TCU faces 14 teams over 18 conference matches
FORT WORTH – The Big 12 announced the league schedule for the 2024 volleyball season on Thursday.
The Horned Frogs will play four Big 12 opponents twice, then play the other 10 conference teams once, for a total of 18 conference matchups.
This is the first season that Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah will compete in the Big 12.
TCU kicks off conference play hosting Arizona State (Sept. 25) and Arizona (Sept. 27). TCU hits the road to face Houston (Oct. 2) before returning to host Baylor on Oct. 5.
The Frogs begin a three-match road stint, traveling to Utah (Oct. 10) and BYU (Oct. 12) before heading to Lubbock, Texas, for the first of two total matches against Texas Tech on Oct. 16. Following the Red Raiders, the Frogs return to Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena for a match with Cincinnati on Oct. 19.
TCU takes a short drive down I-35 to play Baylor on Oct. 25 before returning home for a three-match slate – hosting Colorado (Oct. 30), Iowa State (Nov. 1) and UCF (Nov. 7).
The Frogs travel to the Sunflower State for two matches, first against Kansas (Nov. 13) and then Kansas State (Nov. 15). TCU then heads back to Schollmaier for the final homestand against Houston on Nov. 20 and Texas Tech on Nov. 22.
TCU rounds out the Big 12 slate with road contests at West Virginia (Nov. 27) and Cincinnati (Nov. 29).
The Horned Frogs finished the 2023 season 17-15 and advanced to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament. TCU defeated No. 22 Florida State, 3-1, before falling to No. 9 Arkansas in the Round of 32.
In addition to the program's second-ever back-to-back Round of 32 appearance, Melanie Parra became the first player in TCU history to be named to one of the three AVCA All-American teams. The unanimous First Team All-Big 12 selection ranked 12th in the NCAA in points per set (5.17) and 17th with 4.38 kills per set.
TCU hosts a spring match against SMU at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 12 in Schollmaier Arena.
