TCU feels like home to the Louisiana native
(as told to Lily Margaret Greenway)
I've been putting on football helmets since I was 5 years old, but why I do it is summed up in this… I play to promote my God who has given me everything.
God is at the forefront of my life, with my family and football right behind Him. My family inspires me in so many ways, especially in bringing me closer to God. Knowing God from a young age gave me so many experiences and moments that have formed me into the man I am today. Without my faith, there is no way I would be here, and only through God am I able to accomplish what I do, so I thank Him every day for what he has given me.
I have the opportunity to bring good to the world and to my family. I hope to give back all they have given to me by taking care of them in the future. At the end of the day, we all play to make it to the highest level. My uncle played at LSU and played and coached in the NFL. I've looked up to him my whole life and have always wanted to be just like him. He knows all the ropes of the game and constantly gives me tips and reminders. Knowing where he has been motivates me to go there, too.

I knew when I first stepped onto TCU's campus that this was my place. My confidence is at an all-time high and I believe everything traces back to hard work. Going to practice every day and working as hard as I can is what allows me to build confidence, see the ball and catch everything coming my way. My awareness has increased, and I've learned to pay attention to the little things. In addition, my character continues to grow since I've arrived in Fort Worth. I'm a positive guy who wants to bring the energy and be a light in the darkness – a smile and a kind word can mean a lot to people.
My mindset is – it doesn't matter what you're doing, do the right thing within it.

Off the field, I'm laid back, and I do my own little thing with my best friend – Zion, my American Bulldog. But on the field, I run at full speed. I never look back, and I work to be the guy my teammates can rely on, day in and day out. I believe that everybody can learn from everybody. Even in our wide receiver room, we all have different skill sets and ways to run the line of scrimmage, but learning from them makes me the best player I can be, and ultimately, become the best guy in the country in my position.
