
Macnab Finishes Tied for 9th at Augusta

AUGUSTA, GA – TCU women's golf sophomore Caitlyn Macnab finished tied for ninth at the Augusta National Women's Amateur. Macnab finished two places above her performance from last year's tournament.
While carding two birdies on the course, Macnab shot a 4-over 76 in the Final Round, leaving her with a total score of 1-over for the tournament. Macnab had a 72-hole score of 1-over 217.
Macnab advanced to the Final Round after finishing tied for fourth with a 36-hole score of 3-under 141. She recorded a 71 in round one and a 70 in round two. She closed out round two with two birdies and an eagle.
Macnab's 71.59 stroke average is second to her own TCU record of 71.53 in the 2021-22 campaign. A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, Macnab has shot par or better in 16 of 22 rounds this season. She shot a personal-best 14-under 202 to finish third at the MountainView Collegiate. It was one of her four top-five results in the 2022-23 season. She won first place outright at the Schooner Fall Classic, third at the Jim West Challenge and fourth at the Battle at the Beach, all scores coming in under 210. She has eight sub-70 rounds on the year.
