Frimodt Named to Haskins Award Watch List

The senior is one of 20 on the list
FORT WORTH – TCU senior Gustav Fimodt was named to the 2023-24 Final Fall Haskins Award presented by Stifel Watch List on Thursday.
The senior from Denmark was one of 20 named to the list, which is awarded at the end of the season annually to the top male U.S. collegiate golfer as voted on by only college golfers, coaches and members of the golf media.
Frimodt currently ranks No. 27 in the World Amateur Rankings following an impressive summer. Frimodt placed third at the North and South Amateur Championship and was fifth at The Western Amateur Championship. He also played in the U.S. Amateur Championship.
Frimodt's summer led into a great start for the collegiate season as he earned co-medalist honors at the Valero Texas Collegiate in September with a score of 6-under 210. Frimodt then finished ninth at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate and was 12th at the competitive Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational.
Frimodt most recently represented his country at the World Amateur Team Championship in October.
The Horned Frogs begin the spring season at the Arizona NIT, Jan. 29-30, in Tuscan, Ariz.
