Adams, Davis and Morris recognized by TCU
FORT WORTH – Julia Adams of volleyball, Derius Davis of football and Gracie Morris of cross country have been named TCU Student-Athletes of the Week presented by Bob's Steak and Chop House.
Adams received All-Tournament accolades for the second time following "Fight in the Fort." This honor marked the ninth individual award she has earned in her four-year career at TCU. She guided the Frogs to their first win of the season vs. Coastal Carolina with 17 kills, followed by a season-high 19 kills vs. Texas A&M.
She currently ranks fourth in the Big 12 in kills per set (3.96) and sixth among her conference peers in points per set (4.15).
Davis was named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week after his 60-yard punt return vs. Colorado. His second touchdown of the night has him tied to the program record for most punt returns for touchdowns with four. Davis also put up two receptions for 25 yards.
Morris led the Frogs to a first-place finish at the ACU Naimadu Classic. She finished third overall in her 4K with a time of 13:52.8.
