TCU and Colonial Country Club to host the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational, Oct. 3-4
FORT WORTH – Most of the nation's top golf programs will play at Colonial Country Club, Oct. 3-4, in the newly named Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational.
The tournament is one of 11 scheduled prior to the Big 12 Championship for TCU men's golf and features all eight teams that advanced to match play at the 2022 NCAA Men's Golf Championship.
The Horned Frogs begin the season Sept. 7-8 at the Frederica Cup in St. Simons Island, Ga. followed by the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate in Albuquerque, N.M., held Sept. 23-24.
TCU completes play in the fall at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament, played once again at The Clubs at Houston Oaks in Hockley, Texas.
The team will play in Hawaii for the 31st time in the last 32 seasons when the Frogs open the spring at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate in Waimea. The next two tournaments are also regulars on the TCU schedule. The Prestige will take place Feb. 20-22 at The Club at PGA West (Greg Norman Course) in La Quinta, Calif. TCU will then return to the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas, Nev., Feb. 26-28.
The Grand Canyon Invitational will take place March 13-14 in Phoenix, Ariz. New to the schedule is the Seahawk Intercollegiate, held March 26-27, in Wilmington, N.C.
TCU begins the month of April at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at the Whirlwind Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. The Frogs finish the regular season at The Aggie Invitational, held at the site of last season's NCAA Regional, Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas, April 10-11.
This season's Big 12 Championship returns to Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan., April 24-26. TCU has finished in the top five in each of the last three Big 12 Championships and was fourth when the championship was last held at Prairie Dunes in 2021.
