TCU begins play at Whispering Pines at 8:37 a.m. on Monday
FORT WORTH – TCU will play at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas, starting Monday at the Big 12 Men's Golf Championship.
TCU will go with the lineup of junior Aymeric Laussot, junior Chris Berzina, junior Gustav Frimodt, senior Justin Gums and sophomore Brandon Massey.
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday and Wednesday. As the No. 7 seed, TCU is paired with No. 8 Kansas State and will begin at 8:37 a.m. on the 10th hole. The Frogs will begin the second round that afternoon at 2:37 p.m. Tuesday's and Wednesday's round may begin as early as 8 a.m.

Whispering Pines Golf Club is located 88 miles north of Houston in Trinity, Texas. The course is home to The Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship, a biennial tournament that showcases the best men's and women's amateur golfers from around the world. Whispering Pines is ranked among the top 100 golf courses in America by several publications and is most recently ranked the No. 1 golf course in Texas by The Dallas Morning News.
LAST TIME OUT
Aymeric Laussot finished tied for 23rd place to lead TCU at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz. The Horned Frogs finished 19th.
TCU AT THE BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP
- TCU has finished in the top four at the last two Big 12 Championships.
- TCU was fourth last season at Prairie Dunes.
- The program's best finish came in 2019, when the Frogs finished second at The Greenbrier.
- TCU's last conference championship was in 2009 when it won the Mountain West Conference.

- Six different players have led the Frogs over the nine tournaments played this season. Gums has led the Frogs in three tournaments. Laussot has led the team in the last two.
- TCU's strength of schedule is currently ranked as the 21st strongest in the nation by Bushnell/Golfweek.
- TCU has qualified for four of the last six and eight of the last 12 NCAA Championships. TCU has advanced to 18 of the past 31 NCAA Championships since 1991.
- TCU is one of nine programs to finish in the top 20 of the NCAA Championships in five of the last eight seasons. Those programs are Arizona State, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, TCU and Vanderbilt.
