TCU Student-Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH – Tommy Sacco of baseball along with the entire men's tennis team have all been named TCU Student-Athletes of the week, presented by Bob's Steak and Chop House.
The men's tennis team had a dominant weekend across the Red River. The Frogs defeated No. 52 Oklahoma State 5-1 and No. 38 Oklahoma 5-2 to claim the outright Big 12 Conference Championship. This pair of wins puts TCU at 5-0 to remain undefeated in conference play.
Men's tennis will look to notch another conference championship this weekend as they host the Big 12 Tennis Championship at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. The Frogs will begin the tournament on Saturday at 3 p.m. against the winner of Oklahoma and Texas Tech.
Sacco traded in his bat for a broom as he led the Frogs to a series sweep of No. 4 Texas Tech at home over the weekend. The senior from Gilbert, Ariz. batted 6-of-12 on the series, opening the sweep with a game tying homer followed by a go-ahead run an inning later. He closed out the series with a game opening double in Saturday's game to make way for the third Horned Frog victory of the weekend.
Baseball will continue conference play this weekend in Stillwater, Okla., with a series against Oklahoma State. The series begins on Friday with the first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. The Frog-Poke match-up will be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
