
Student-Athletes of the Week

Robert Gregory Jr., Chengetayi (Du) Mapaya, and Tinotenda Matiyenga of men's indoor track and field, Mike Miles of men's basketball, and the rifle team have all been named TCU Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Bob's Steak and Chop House.
Gregory was the national runner-up in the 200m with a time of 20.77, earning First Team All-America honors and helping lead TCU to a 10th place finish overall at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Mapaya placed third in the triple jump at the NCAA Championships with a mark of 16.51m (54-2) and was also a First Team All-American. Matiyenga finished in third with a time of 20.84 in the 200m as he garnered First Team All-America honors. The senior was seeded 16th in the race and finished third overall.
The Frogs host the TCU Invitational on March 18-19 at the Lowdon Track Complex.
Miles finished the season being named to the Big 12 All-Tournament team. During the Big 12 Tournament, Miles averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game to lead TCU to its second semifinal in program history. In the two games, he had 13 points against No. 22 Texas, and 14 points against No. 6 Kansas.
TCU returns to action this Friday at 8:57 p.m. against Seton Hall in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Rifle concluded their season as National Champions. They competed in the national championships for the 16th consecutive season. As well as defending their title from 2021, it is the Frogs fourth national championship all-time.
