No. 20 Horned Frogs set to open their spring season Monday
FORT WORTH -- The No. 20 TCU women's golf team opens its spring season Monday when it begins play at the ICON Invitational in Humble, Texas.
The Horned Frogs will look to continue the momentum from a record-breaking fall campaign that saw them set multiple school marks for single round and tournament scores. TCU finished with a pair of top-three results and a 284.0 team stroke average that's on pace to set another program best.
The Event
TCU is playing in the ICON Invitational for the sixth consecutive spring. This tournament will take place for a second straight year at the par 72, 6,342-yard Golf Club of Houston. Thirty-six holes will be played Monday with 18 Tuesday. Both days will feature an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
The Horned Frogs were fourth in a loaded field at last year's ICON Invitational. Their 3-under 861 was the fifth-best, at the time, 54-hole score in program history. Sabrina Iqbal led TCU with a 15th-place finish at 2-under 214.
