
TCU Swim and Dive Sweeps Big 12 Weekly Awards

Church, Kwong, Edwards, Cicanci, Burman and Freri all Honored by Big 12
FORT WORTH -- TCU Swim and Dive go six for six in weekly Big 12 Conference awards.
Six Horned Frogs shined in last weeks dual meet against SMU, as the Big 12 honored: Alessandra Senis, Jordan Edwards, Anna Kwong, Max Burman, Edgar Cicanci and Geremia Freri.
On the women's side, Anna Kwong earned yet another Zone cut on the year in the 1-meter with a score of 268.80. Kwong's women's diver of the week is her second of the season and fourth of her career.
Senis wins her first Conference award as a Frog. She finished third in the 200 fly with a time of 2:02.55.
Edwards earned her first conference swimmer of the week award for her performance in the 1000 freestyle, finishing in first place. Her time of 10:06.42 was good enough for third all-time in TCU history. She added to her performance with a second place swim in the 500 freestyle clocking in at 4:58.60.
Burman garners his second Big 12 award this season, but his first as the diver of the week. His performance on the 3-meter at SMU gave him another Zone-cut on the year (311.40).
The men's newcomer of the week, Cicanci, wins his first conference award as a Frogs with two top two finishes at SMU. He finished first in the 200 backstroke, giving himself his first B-cut of the season (1:44.61). He was second to touch the wall in the 100 backstroke finishing with a time of 47.84.
Freri earned his second consecutive swimmer of the week award with his dominance in the distance races. In the 1000 freestyle, the sophomore finished in first place, earning the school record in the event (9:06.34). Lastly, Freri earned gold in the 500 freestyle (4:24.03).
