FORT WORTH – TCU track and field recently signed four new transfers.
Khyasia Caldwell is a graduate transfer from the University of Virginia. The jumps specialist is a native of Pocono Summit, Pa.
A standout member of the Cavalier Track and Field team from the beginning, Caldwell was a two-time All American, three-time NCAA east qualifier, and four-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference awardee.
During her first season in 2018 Caldwell was the ACC runner up in long jump after capturing a mark of 6.10m. She continued to shine during the 2019 season, making her first of three NCAA east appearances and recording a career high mark of 6.15m at the ACC Championships.
Despite the 2020 season being cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, Caldwell still achieved All American Honors yet again after advancing to the NCAA Championships and reeled in another second-place finish at the ACC Championships.
Caldwell's 2021 season was one for the record books: she etched in three personal bests, three first place finishes, and multiple all-time school high marks. On top of her multiple PBs and podium finishes, the real highlight of Caldwell's 2021 came after she qualified for the NCAA Championship in long jump with a mark of 6.26m. Caldwell ultimately finished 23rd at the NCAA Championship with mark of 5.88m.
