Academic All-Big 12 Equestrian Teams Released

IRVING, Texas – The 2021 Academic All-Big 12 teams have been released and 13 Frogs are among those honored, the conference announced Friday afternoon.
"The awards keep rolling in for this talented group and our pride grows each and every time," Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield said. "Our group works hard in the classroom and that is a testament to the will these girls have to perform in every aspect of their life. We promote the culture of development both as a person and a rider and these academic awards verify that we are doing the right thing."
Alex Beneson, Anna Hauter and Raegan Rast all earned their third career Academic All-Big 12 honor with Hauter making first team three straight years, Beneson and Rast made their first career first team distinction.
Jacey Albaugh, Isabella Baxter, Kathleen Harrigan, Janelle Henningsen and Wynne Weatherly all earned All-Big 12 First Team recognition for the second time in their careers, while Emma Brown, Mattie Dukes were on the first team for the first time in their careers.
Maddy Buchanan, Kaylynn DeBernard and Josie Ferrante made their first All-Big 12 Academic team at TCU with all three picking up second team distinction.
