FORT WORTH – The TCU equestrian program announced its end of season awards, with 10 honorees across both disciplines.
"The end of the season marks a bittersweet time for us," TCU Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield said. "These girls have worked so hard all season long and we are happy and proud to honor all of their accomplishments as they have given it all they have every day this year, especially given the adversity that has comes from the pandemic."
The awards begin with event MOPs.
The Fences MOP is Alex Beneson. Beneson went 9-4 during the year and won three MOPs. Her nine wins tied for a team high and she went 2-1 in postseason play. Beneson was named to the All-Big 12 Fences team and was a Second Team All-American. She posted a season high of 87 against Baylor on Senior Day and was the Fences MOP for that meet.
For the Flat event, Jacey Albaugh was named the team MOP. Albaugh had an incredible season earning scores over 90 twice during the year. In Horsemanship, freshman Jessica McAllister earned the honor. She went 8-3-1 on the year with the most wins in the event, she was also 4-1 in Big 12 action. The Connecticut native scored a season high 79 against Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship finals. She earned a pair of MOPs, both of which on unfamiliar horses in a neutral site matchup with Fresno State, then a week later against Oklahoma State on the road.
