Horned Frogs honored in Fences, Flat and Reining
IRVING, Texas – The TCU equestrian team had three riders honored in the Big 12's first set of Rider of the Month awards, the league office announced today. TCU's honorees included Ashleigh Scully in Fences, Jacey Albaugh in Flat and Shea Graham in Reining.
This marks the eighth time in program history that TCU has won three of the four accolades given out in the month, last done in November 2018.
"This is such an honor for these girls," Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield said. "Ashleigh and Shea have been so successful early in their freshman years and this shows them where they are at now and what they can become in the future. Jacey is a proven leader for our Flat group and her progress has been remarkable. This is another step in the road for these girls and they continue to grow every day."
Scully becomes the 10th Horned Frog to earn Fences Rider of the Month honors from the Big 12. All three riders earned their first recognition for a month of competition.
TCU's three honorees, along with the rest of the Horned Frogs, will be back in action this Friday, March 5, taking on No. 8 SMU and No. 5 Fresno State in a doubleheader. The meet is set to begin at 9 a.m. at the Dallas Equestrian Center.
