No. 23 TCU begins play Tuesday in Arizona
FORT WORTH -- The No. 23 TCU women's golf team begins play Friday at the Clover Cup in Mesa, Ariz.
The Event
TCU is playing in the Clover Cup for the first time since 2018, when it made its fourth consecutive appearance at the event. The Horned Frogs finished second in 2016 and third in 2015.
The Clover Cup is held at the par 72, 6,184-yard Longbow Golf Club. The format will be 18 holes each day, Friday through Sunday.
The Field
Joining TCU and host No. 10 Arizona State in the 12-team field are No. 27 Arizona, Cincinnati, Clemson, Colorado, Colorado State, FIU, Grand Canyon, No. 20 Houston, No. 28 Oklahoma and UNLV.

The Horned Frogs
TCU's lineup will feature Sabrina Iqbal, Sabrina Nguyen, Jennie Park, Valeria Pacheco and Lois Lau. Grace Do will compete as an individual.
*Iqbal has been the Horned Frogs' top finisher in each of the last two tournaments. The junior from San Jose, Calif., has played in all 26 TCU events in her career with 19 top-20 results, including 12 in the top 10.
*Nguyen, one of two freshmen in the TCU lineup, has posted consecutive top-20 finishes. The Escondido, Calif., native has a 74.3 stroke average.
*Park has a team-best 73.9 stroke average. She has four top-20 results this season and a total of eight while playing in all 15 TCU tournaments since she arrived on campus from Carrollton, Texas.
*Pacheco, a junior from Hallandale Beach, Fla., has a career-low 74.0 stroke average which is more than two shots better than her previous-best mark. She will be in her fifth event of the campaign.
*Lau joins Iqbal and Park as the only Horned Frogs to play in all six tournaments this season. The freshman from Noisy-sur-Ecole, France, is third on the team with a 74.2 stroke average. She has a top-10 finish in two of the last three tournaments.
*Do's 74.2 stroke average is a career-best mark for the senior from Coppell, Texas. She carded a career-low round of 68 earlier this season at the Betsy Rawls Invitational.
When Last in Action
TCU finished fourth out of 13 teams at the Icon Invitational (Feb. 22-23) in Humble, Texas, its fourth top-five result in five team tournaments this season.
