FORT WORTH — For the third consecutive year, Izzy Ashdown and Connie Deighton will represent TCU at NCAA Diving Zone D. Competition runs from Thursday through Saturday at the University of Kentucky's Lancaster Aquatic Center.

This past week, Ashdown became TCU's highest-scoring diver at the Big 12 Conference Championship. The senior scored a 290.95 to garner a bronze medal on 3-meter. Going into her final attempt, Ashdown had two divers trailing her by fewer than four points. The Sydney, Australia, native proceeded to score a 47.50 to clinch third place.
In 2019, Deighton became the first Horned Frog to reach the final round at the Zone meet since 2009. She scored 225.35 to break into the top 18 and advance to finals. In the final round, Deighton improved her score to a season-best 227.80 for a 15th place finish.
Both Ashdown and Deighton closed out prelims inside the top 18 to make finals on platform in 2020. Ashdown placed 12th (471.00) while Deighton finished 16th (437.40). Ashdown improved her rank by two spots between prelims and finals while Deighton stayed steady at 16th.
