
Lau Leads Horned Frogs at Lamkin Invitational

TCU freshman is tied for 10th with a 3-over 145
RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. -- The No. 22 TCU women's golf team, in its spring season debut, is in fifth place after Monday's opening two rounds of the Lamkin Invitational in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
At 598, the Horned Frogs are 13 strokes behind USC's tournament-leading 585. TCU is just seven shots behind UCLA who's in second place at 591.

"We really showed confidence in our tournament process and mental fortitude," TCU Head Women's Golf Coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. "The ladies looked strong physically, hit a lot of great shots and handled the conditions very well. We have some room to grow, but overall it is a great first day to our spring season."
The Horned Frogs
Freshman Lois Lau is the top Horned Frog. The Noisy-sur-Ecole, France, native is tied for 10th with a 3-over-par 147. She totaled six birdies on the day, including four in second round play when she carded a 1-over 73.
Fellow TCU freshman Sabrina Nguyen, playing just outside her hometown of Escondido, Calif., is tied for 13th after a 4-over 148. Her opening round even-par 72 featured four birdies, including her final two holes. She was 3 under on the back nine in posting a season-best score.
Sabrina Iqbal is tied for 15th to give the Horned Frogs three players in the top 15. Her second-round 74 featured a birdie with par on 14 holes. She recorded three birdies, including her first and last holes, in first-round action.
Valeria Pacheco posted three birdies on the day with two coming in the second round en route to a 76. She is tied for 26th at 10-over 154.
Jennie Park birdied her opening role in the second round as she went on to post a 76.
