
Frogs Compete at International Competitions

Ekdahl, Wuilliez place well at respective FINA competitions
FORT WORTH – TCU Swimming & Diving was well represented at two major international competitions this past month, with David Ekdahl competing at the FINA World Junior Diving Championships and Jadon Wuilliez swimming at the FINA World Swimming Championships.
Ekdahl, who dove for Team Sweden, placed third in the Mixed Team event, finishing only behind Russia and Italy. He also qualified and placed ninth in the Group A Boys 1-meter final with a score of 413.35.
At the FINA World Swimming Championships, Wuilliez broke four Antigua and Barbuda national records on two relays and two individual records. Individually, he broke national records in the 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke. In the 50m breaststroke, he swam a 26.98 to finish 21st overall. He also swam a stellar time of 58.73 to break the national record in the 100m breaststroke, placing 24th overall.
He was also part of the national-record holding mixed 4x50 freestyle relay team and mixed 4x50 medley relay team.
