
TCU Equestrian Rides In Intersquad Meet

12 freshman kickstart their TCU careers.
FORT WORTH – The TCU equestrian team completed its preseason intersquad meet Monday afternoon as the unit gears up for the season opener next Thursday.

"Today was a great start for our team. We had some great rides and got to see some really good things from riders who will be a part of our success this year and for years to come. I was pleased with our energy and I cannot wait to get started next week."
THE RUNDOWN
The Frogs intersquad saw three events ride to a 2-2 tie, with Reining finishing 2-1 in favor of the White team.
12 freshmen competed for TCU across 19 rides.
In Jumping Seat, Makenzy Barnes put together the highest score in Fences, recording an 84 on Phia. Sydney Berube had the highest score in Flat action with an 88 on Caprilli.
On the Western side, Shea Graham posted a 73 on George in Horsemanship. In Reining, Sarah Armenta and Giorgia Medows rode to a tie on Ella, but both matched each other for the highest score in Reining.
UP NEXT
The Frogs will prepare for their season opener next Thursday, Jan. 28 where they will face South Dakota State and UT Martin in a doubleheader meet. It will be the season opener for all three programs.
