Nine Horned Frogs honored by various outlets
FORT WORTH – The TCU women's rifle team saw nine members recognized for their work in the classroom. The CRCA honored seven members as Scholastic All-Americans, while eight were named Academic All-Big 12.
Earning a spot on both teams were Noelle Christensen (Political Science and Economics), Emily Haag (Entrepreneurial Management), Kristen Hemphill (Nursing), Rachel Kimbell (Mechanical Engineering), Casey Lutz (Math-Actuarial Science) and Catherine Miller (Finance). The six were honored as first-team Academic All-Big 12.
Stephanie Grundsoee was tabbed a CRCA Scholastic All-American, while Abigail Gordon (Education Pre-Major) and Taylor Haffner (Nursing) were selected as second-team Academic All-Big 12.
Academic All-Big 12 first team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
