Do, Iqbal and Pacheco recognized for their work in the classroom
IRVING, Texas -- TCU women's golfers Grace Do, Sabrina Iqbal and Valeria Pacheco have been named Academic All-Big 12 by the conference.
Do and Iqbal were first-team recipients with Pacheco on the second team.
Do, a movement science major from Coppell, Texas, is first-team Academic All-Big 12 for the second straight year. She played in six tournaments this season.
Iqbal set TCU records this year with a 72.0 stroke average and a pair of 7-under-par rounds of 209. She posted six top-10 finishes in nine tournaments while shooting par or better in 17 of 27 rounds. The sophomore from San Jose, Calif., is an entrepreneurship and innovation major.
Pacheco tied a TCU single-round mark with an 8-under 64 at the Jim West Challenge. The sophomore from Hallandale Beach, Fla., played in eight tournaments and is a mechanical engineering major.
