Student-Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH -- Lauren Heard of women's basketball, C.J. Ceasar and Garret Wallow of football and RJ Nembhard of men's basketball were named TCU Student-Athletes of the Week presented by Bob's Steak and Chop House.

Heard led the Horned Frogs to victory over Middle Tennessee on Sunday with a 25 point, seven rebound, and four assist performance. The senior guard out of Denton earned Big 12 Player of the Week honors averaging 20.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in two games this past week.

C.J. Ceasar made his mark on the defensive side of the ball on Saturday night against Louisiana Tech. The sophomore from Monroe, La., recorded three tackles, two pass breakups, and two interceptions. That performance earned him the honor of Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week.

Wallow is a senior from New Orleans, La. During TCU's game against Louisiana Tech, he totaled 13 tackles, one sack, and forced a fumble. In his last home game as a Horned Frog, Wallow helped the defense limit the Bulldogs to 10 points.

Nembhard led the frogs to a 73-55 win over Texas A&M with a 16 point, nine assist, and four rebound outing. Earlier in the week, Nembhard registered 25 points against Providence. These two performances led him to earn Big 12 Player of the Week averaging 20.5 points, eight assists, and 5.5 rebounds.
