Barlow, Dennison and Peterson named October Scholar-Athletes of the Month

FORT WORTH – Redshirt freshman Darwin Barlow from football, senior Dani Dennison from women's volleyball and junior Brandi Peterson from women's soccer have all been named TCU's October Scholar-Athletes of the Month.
Barlow has three rushing touchdowns so far this season. He also currently leads the team in total rushing with 228 yards. He had his career best game against Baylor with 117 yards on 16 carries and a 3-yard scoring run.
Barlow is a business major.
Dennison tired her career high of 28 digs in the West Virginia game on Oct. 15. She currently averages 4.79 digs/set this season. Dennison also leads the Big 12 Conference in digs/set and is ranked No. 11 in the nation. She is seventh in program history for most career digs.
Dennison is a communication studies major with a minor in business.
Peterson scored her first career goal as the overtime winner of the No. 4 Oklahoma State game on Oct. 9. Her goal led the Horned Frogs to a 2-1 victory over the Cowgirls. She was named the United Soccer Coaches Association Player of the Week and the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for her performance Oklahoma State game. She has also played the entirety of every match this season.
Peterson is a kinesiology major.
