Anderson and Gladney to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl
FORT WORTH -- Five TCU football players will play in college all-star games this month.
Running back Darius Anderson and cornerback Jeff Gladney will be in the Jan. 25 Reese's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. Offensive guard Cordel Iwuagwu and running back Sewo Olonilua will both be in action Saturday. Iwuagwu is in the East-West Shrine Bowl in St. Petersburg, Fla., while Olonilua will play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. Offensive tackle Anthony McKinney is in the Jan. 26 Hula Bowl in Honolulu.
Anderson led TCU this season with 823 yards rushing on a 5.5 per carry average and six touchdowns. He ran for 2,418 yards and 18 touchdowns in his TCU career and twice earned All-Big 12 recognition.
Gladney was named to multiple All-America teams in 2019 and was first-team All-Big 12. He led the Horned Frogs with 14 pass breakups, while his 15 passes defended tied teammate Trevon Moehrig for second in the Big 12.
Iwuagwu made 32 starts over his TCU career and was a Team Captain for the Horned Frogs. He was All-Big 12 in 2019.
Olonilua rushed for 1,624 yards and 18 touchdowns while adding 60 receptions at TCU. He was the 2018 Cheez-It Bowl Offensive Most Valuable Player after rushing for a career high and TCU bowl record 194 yards in a win versus Cal.
McKinney started 20 games at left tackle during his two-year TCU career.
