Quote of the Day
"This is the time of year that we look forward to and work for," TCU Head Women's Golf Coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. "This team is truly special, and I am proud of all of our hard work leading into this week. We must continue to focus on our process and take it one step at a time."
Chasing History
TCU's 292.7 team stroke average this season is on pace to set a new program record, bettering the previous mark of 295.4 in the 2016-17 campaign.
The Lineup
TCU's lineup for the Big 12 Championship will be Sabrina Iqbal, Greta Bruner, Annika Clark, Grace Do and Valeria Pacheco.
Iqbal, a freshman from San Jose, Calif., is ranked 72nd nationally by Golfweek. Her 72.8 stroke average is on track to break Emmy Martin's TCU season record of 72.9 (2016-17). Iqbal has eight consecutive top-20 finishes, including four in the top 10. She has a team-best five sub-70 rounds this season and was a medalist at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational.
Bruner is a two-time Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Month selection this year. The junior from Conroe, Texas, has a 73.1 stroke average. Bruner has four top-10 finishes and tied a 54-hole TCU record with a 6-under-par 210 in being the runner-up at the ICON Invitational.
The lone senior in the lineup, Clark has a career-low 74.1 stroke average to place third on the Horned Frogs. The Highlands, Texas, native is playing in her fourth Big 12 Championship and tied for seventh at the 2017 event.
Do has played in all 19 tournaments in her two years as a Horned Frog. The sophomore from Coppell, Texas, has a career-best 75.2 stroke average with a pair of top-10 finishes.
Pacheco has two top-20 results while playing in seven of nine tournaments. The freshman from Hallandale Beach, Fla., has a 75.8 stroke average.
The Classroom
Annika Clark and Grace Do were First-Team Academic All-Big 12 honorees. It was Clark's third straight year as a recipient.
