TCU currently has 21 former players in pro baseball
FORT WORTH – TCU baseball will be well-represented in professional baseball this season. The Horned Frogs currently boast 21 current players on a professional baseball roster.
Highlighting the former Frogs are five Major League Baseball players in Tyler Alexander (Detroit), Jake Arrieta (CHC), Matt Carpenter (St. Louis), Stefan Crichton (Arizona) and Alex Young (Arizona). and Riley Ferrell (Miami).
The Frogs have five players in AAA, three in AA and nine in High-A. Representing the Frogs in AAA are Riley Ferrell (Houston), Brandon Finnegan (Cincinnati), Bryan Holaday (Arizona), Brian Howard (Oakland) and Jantzen Witte (Seattle). In AA, former Frogs are Luken Baker (St. Louis), Durbin Feltman (Boston) and Nick Lodolo (Cincinnati). In High-A, Jake Guenther (Texas), Alex Isola (Minnesota), Jared Janczak (Cleveland), Johnny Rizer (Baltimore), Evan Skoug (CWS), Jerrick Suiter (CHC), Austen Wade (Cleveland), Brandon Williamson (Seattle) and Sean Wymer (Toronto) represent former Frogs.
Kevin Cron signed with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in the Nippon Professional Baseball league.

Freddie Benavides (1985-87) is the bench coach for the Cincinnati Reds. Reid Ryan (1992-94) is the President of Business Operations for the Houston Astros. J.J. Gottsch (1994) serves as the Executive Vice President of the Round Rock Express, the Astros AAA affiliate. Scott Atchison (1995-99) serves as the bullpen coach for the Cleveland Indians. Additionally, Michael Landestoy (2015-18) is serving as an MLB Fellow in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.
