Bruner tied for 4th individually
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The No. 19 TCU women's golf team was tied for fifth place when darkness suspended Monday's second round of the ICON Invitational in The Woodlands, Texas. The opening round earlier in the day was delayed by lightning.
TCU junior Greta Bruner is tied for fourth individually at 2-under-par, four strokes behind leader Alice Hewson of Clemson.
Playing just outside her hometown of Conroe, Texas, Bruner had three straight birdies in second-round action and was 2-under-par through 15 holes when play was halted. She had three birdies in a four-hole stretch of the opening round en route to an even-par 72. She had a team-best seven birdies on the day.
Sabrina Iqbal birdied three of her opening seven holes in the second round. The freshman from San Jose, Calif., is tied for 18th individually at 4-over-par.
Grace Do had an opening-round 74, which included two birdies. Annika Clark posted back-to-back birdies to begin the back nine in the second round. Yeji Shin also had a pair of second-round birdies.
Tuesday's final day will begin at 8 a.m. with the completion of the second round. The final round will then immediately follow.
