COLLEGE STATION, Texas – TCU track and field will return to College Station for the final time of the indoor season on Saturday, when the Horned Frogs compete at the Charlie Thomas Invitational. Saturday's action is scheduled to begin at 12:30.
MEET INFO
The meet will feature several top-10 ranked teams including Arkansas's No.1 ranked women's team, Houston's No.5 men's team, host-Texas A&M's No.3 women and No.7 men, and Texas's No.5 women and No.8 men. Cincinnati, Rice, South Plains, Stephen F Austin, UT-Arlington, and UTSA will also compete at the meet.
Saturday's events will be streamed live on WatchESPN, starting at 1:55 p.m. Live results are available via Flash Results.
LAST TIME OUT: Texas Tech Classic
TCU last competed at the Texas Tech Classic where several Horned Frogs made event debuts. Competing against a talented field, Chengetayi Mapaya finished third in the men's triple jump with a jump of 16.31m, which ranks No.6 nationally. Derrick Mokaleng also made his 2019 debut in the men's 400m with a time of 46.23, the No.7 ranked mark in NCAA DI.
In a fourth-place effort, Destiny Longmire competed in the long jump for the first time this season and reached 6.11m. She currently ranks second in the Big 12 and was an All-American a year ago during the outdoor season in the long jump.
The women's 4x400 relay improved its season mark and moved up to No.17 on the NCAA Performance list. Lily Beckford, Kiana Banks, Kayla Heard, and Kennedy Crawford finished fifth with a time of 3:38.68.
