
TCU Student-Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH – Jaycee Bradley of women's basketball, Katie Clark of volleyball and Kevin Samuel from men's basketball have been named TCU's Student-Athletes of the Week presented by Cram Crew.
Bradley, a redshirt senior from Norfolk, Neb., led the undefeated Horned Frogs to wins over Boise State and Auburn. The guard found her stride on offense, averaging 16.5 points in the week. She put together a career day against Auburn, tallying 24 points on 7-of-16 shooting and five 3-pointers.
The women's basketball team takes on Texas A&M on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in College Station. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network +.
Clark, a sophomore from Arlington, Texas, made her impact felt in the first and second rounds of the NIVC, as TCU took down Miami (OH) and Bowling Green. Clark paces the TCU offense in kills with 265 kills and made that presence known in postseason action. She stamped her first career double-double against the RedHawks recording 12 kills and 12 blocks, a career high mark. She followed that up with an 11 kill, eight block line against Bowling Green the next day.
The volleyball program continues their postseason run as they host Colgate in the third round of the NIVC at the Rickel.
Samuel, a sophomore from Codrigton Village, Barbuda, was a force for TCU as it picked up a win against Illinois State and in a close defeat to USC. Samuel recorded double-digit scoring efforts in both games, scoring 15 and 17, respectively. He was able to add his fifth double-double of the season against the Trojans as he added 11 blocks to his line. Against the Redbirds he made his presence felt around the basket, swatting away three shots.
Samuel and the men's basketball team will be in action Wednesday night when they host Winthrop in Schollmaier Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on FSSW.
