King records four birdies en route to a second-round 71
AUSTIN, Texas -- The TCU women's golf team shot a second round 1-over-par 289 and is in 11th place after Saturday's opening 36 holes of the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas.
TCU lowered its score by 23 strokes in the second round. All five Horned Frogs improved their score, including four by as many as 4 shots.
Sabrina Iqbal is the top Horned Frog. The sophomore from San Jose, Calif.,is tied for 29th with a 4-over 148. She had two birdies in round two while recording par on 14 holes for an even-par 72. She had three birdies in the opening round.
Trinity King, one of two freshmen in the TCU lineup, had three consecutive birdies on the back nine en route to a second round 1-under 71. She totaled four birdies in the round.
Jennie Park birdied three of her final eight holes, and had four birdies overall, for a second-round 74.
Grace Do had a season-best 72 in the second round. She had two birdies and par on 14 holes.
Valeria Pacheco totaled four birdies on the day.
