
Gutierrez Finalizes 2018-19 Roster

Head Coach Hector Gutierrez completes his 2018-19 roster with three additions.
FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU beach volleyball head coach Hector Gutierrez finalized his 2018-19 roster on Monday with three additions to the team in the form of two transfers and an incoming freshman.
Maddie Beal, a four-year letterwinner at Minnesota and native of Colorado Springs, Colo., joins the team in her fifth-year of eligibility, while Taylor Bradley, a native of Round Rock, Texas, comes to Fort Worth after spending her first two seasons playing at LSU. Incoming freshman Hailey Brockett, a native of San Diego, Calif., is the final addition to the 2018-19 signing class.

Maddie Beal – Colorado Springs, Colo.
At Minnesota (2014-17):
Three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection … played in 87 sets and 51 matches during her career … totaled 24 kills, nine digs and 31 total blocks … saw the most action during the 2015 season with 37 sets played … was a part of the 2015 team that advanced to the Final Four … played in the first four rounds of the NCAA Championship that year … started the match against Rutgers on Nov. 24, 2017 and put down four kills in four attempts.
High School:
Played for Cheyenne Mountain High School ... an AVCA All-America honorable mention, was also an all-state selection her senior season and produced a team-high 292 kills, had 92 blocks and hit .344 in 92 sets played ... during her high school career, tallied 816 kills in three years of varsity play ... a key member of Cheyenne's back-to-back state championship seasons in 2011 and 2012 ... two-time all-conference selection ... named to the all-state 4A team in 2013 ... Also a standout lacrosse player, earned six letters.

Taylor Bradley – Round Rock, Texas
At LSU (2017-18):
Played her first two seasons in Baton Rouge … competed in one match during the 2018 season at the No. 3 position … paired with Olivia Powers against New Orleans and won 21-11, 21-9 as the Tigers went on to win the match 4-1 … in 2017, competed at the No. 4 spot with various partners throughout the season … playing at the No. 6 position in the exhibition match, recorded a perfect 10-0 mark … including the exhibition matches played, finished the year on a 12-match winning streak.
High School:
A two-time member of the Academic All-District team, as well as a second team All-District member for the indoor team at Round Rock High School … led the team in aces her senior season … helped lead Round Rock to the 2015 District Championship and Bi-District Championship … alternated between libero and outside hitter during her career … earned two varsity letters … coached by Diane Watson ... member of the Texas Eclipse Club team in Austin, Texas and was coached by Lindsay Thompson … earned a 4.0 in all four years of high school.
Gutierrez on Bradley:
"Having another Texas player on the team makes me really happy. Taylor is a true competitor and she wants to be the best and win every game. That is the mentality we want to have in our team. Her skills and experience at LSU are going to help us to be more competitive this season."

Hailey Brockett – San Diego, Calif.
High School:
Member of the indoor and beach volleyball teams at Point Loma High School … helped lead indoor team to the 2017 Division 3 CIF State Championship with a three-set victory over Lincoln … beach volleyball team went 9-2 during the 2016 season and advanced to the championship match where they were defeated by Torrey Pines High School … helped lead the team to a first place finish in the Western Power League of the San Diego High School Sand Volleyball Association … competed in four USAV Beach National tournaments … placed third with Rebecca Nuanez at the Ocean Beach Youth tournament in 2015 in the 16U division … finished in fifth place in three CBVA Ocean Beach Youth Tournaments in the 16U and 14U divisions with three separate partners.

"Hailey is a very good defender with tremendous potential. She is a very good competitor and that makes her game even better. I'm excited to witness her grow as a beach player with us."
