TCU opens its season Sept. 1 versus Southern
TCU is ranked in the preseason for the 10th time in the last 13 years. TCU is one of just five programs nationally to finish in the top 10 of the final polls at least three times in the last four seasons. The Horned Frogs' 40-13 overall record and 26-10 conference mark both rank second in the Big 12 over that period.
In 17 seasons under head coach Gary Patterson, TCU has posted seven top-10 finishes and 11 in the top 25. The Horned Frogs have won at least 11 games in 10 of the last 15 seasons.
TCU returns 11 starters from last year's squad that went 11-3, reached the Big 12 Championship Game, recorded a 39-37 Valero Alamo Bowl victory over Stanford and a No. 9 final ranking.
The Horned Frogs open the 2018 campaign Sept. 1 with an 11 a.m. home game versus Southern.
